About the role
Seeking an experienced Mechanical Workshop Controller/Manager to join our team in Molendinar, QLD. This is a full-time 5 day week position that plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our automotive workshop. As Workshop Controller/Manager, you will oversee all mechanical operations, ensure quality standards are maintained, manage staff effectively, and drive efficiency across the workshop. This role is essential to our business success and directly impacts customer satisfaction, profitability, and team performance.
Key responsibilities
Oversee all mechanical workshop operations, including scheduling, workflow management and resource allocation
Manage and supervise workshop mechanics
Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards and in compliance with safety regulations
Conduct quality inspections on completed vehicles and ensure customer satisfaction
Maintain detailed records for invoicing
Liaise with customers regarding repairs, maintenance requirements and quotations
Manage inventory on spare parts
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
Resolve issues professionally
What we're looking for
Proven experience working in an automotive workshop environment, ideally as a Mechanic
Solid technical knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems, diagnostics and repairs




Demonstrated experience managing and motivating teams effectively
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency with workshop management software and computer systems
Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to automotive workshops
Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
A commitment to maintaining high quality standards and customer service
Certifications in automotive mechanics, Air Conditioner licence and RWC Licence
Valid driver's licence including HR
