About the Role
An prospect is available for a Business Assurance Officer to join a high-performing government team based in Brisbane CBD. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in business assurance, quality management, process improvement and stakeholder engagement.

Working within a collaborative environment, you will support assurance activities, complaints management, business improvement initiatives and the continuous enhancement of policies, processes, and procedures. You will play a key role in ensuring operational effectiveness, compliance and high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct audit and assurance reviews to assess process compliance, performance management, reporting reliability and control effectiveness.
- Prepare reports outlining findings, recommendations, and management actions.
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of policies, processes, and procedures.
- Provide advice and guidance on quality management practices and assurance activities.
- Monitor and manage correspondence, enquiries, and communications.
- Prepare monthly management reports and facilitate meetings relating to complaints management and business assurance outcomes.




- Support change initiatives by providing clear and effective communication to stakeholders regarding process and system changes.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal stakeholders and service providers.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Experience conducting audits, business assurance, compliance or process review activities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks, process gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience delivering accurate and timely assurance and audit outcomes.
- Strong reporting, documentation and communication skills.
- Confidence facilitating meetings, presentations and discussions with diverse stakeholders.
