- Located 150 km east of Melbourne, the hospital is one of Gippsland's largest employers, with around 2600 employees. It is a purpose-built teaching hospital caring for a population of more than 270,000. With 313 beds and treatment chairs, the range of specialised services includes; cancer care, cardiology, and mental health. A significant expansion is due to open in 2024, with an increase in theatres, a recent ICU, larger and contemporary women's and children's units, and more inpatient beds. The mental health services are also being improved for people seeking timely care and treatment.
