About the Role

Are you fit, reliable, and looking for flexible outdoor work? Orange PA Hire is a local event hire specialist in Orange. we are looking for a Casual General Hand to assist with the delivery, setup, and pack-down of event equipment around Orange.

This is a physical role that involves working with high-quality marquees, furniture, and event gear. It’s perfect for a student, an apprentice looking for extra income or someone who enjoys active, hands-on work.

What You’ll Be Doing

- On-Site Setup: Assisting with the professional installation of marquees (securing, weighting, and detailing).
- Deliveries: Transporting chairs, tables, and hire items to local venues.
- Warehouse: Organizing and maintaining gear to ensure it’s ready for the next big event.

When

- Days: Being an event business it varies quite a bit but tends to be around the weekends. We try to deliver equipment on Fridays & pick it up Mondays but we often do Saturdays. We try to avoid Sundays & there is always the odd mid week event.
- Times: This can vary greatly but we tend to do daylight hours & it’s often a bit adaptable which might suit someone with other job or family commitments.
- Shift Lengths:



It’s a minimum 2hr shift under the award but often the shifts will be 3 to 4 hours.

The Requirements

We run a small but professional, fully insured operation. To join the team, you must:

- Be Tech-Ready: We use the Connecteam app for all scheduling, clocking in/out, and mileage tracking. You must be willing to use this accurately every shift. We can help set you up.
- Be Compliant: All staff are "on the books" as official employees. No “Cashies”. You must be able to complete your Tax File Declaration and Superannuation forms before your first shift – preferably online.
- Have a Reliable Ute or Van: You will often use your own vehicle for deliveries (we pay the full $0.88/km ATO reimbursement). A tow bar & ability to reverse our small trailer would be handy too but not essential.
- Be Physically Fit: Must be able to handle moderate lifting and manual labour safely.
- Live in Orange: Given the short shifts, it’s not going to be practical for applicants living outside Orange.
