The Principal Planning and Performance Officer will work closely with the Health Equity Manager – Strategy, Planning and Performance across a range of strategic, operational and health service planning for CHQ to meet current and future health care needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, families and broader community that is in alignment with CHQ’s Health Equity Strategy and associated implementation plan.

About the Team

The Health Equity Team at Children's Health Queensland (CHQ) leads the implementation of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Equity Strategy, driving organisation-wide reform to improve health outcomes and experiences for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and families. Working across clinical and corporate services, the team partners with communities and stakeholders to ensure access to culturally protected, responsive and equitable healthcare services.

About the Role

In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:

- Lead the embedding of Health Equity related activity in all CHQ divisional operational plans and facilitate appropriate accountability processes and/or mechanisms.
- Lead and coordinate all internal and external reporting requirements related to the Health Equity Strategy and Health Equity Strategy Implementation plan, including analysis of performance against key performance measures to inform recommendations.
- Lead and coordinate CHQ's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Equity Data Dashboard ensuring data remains up -to-date and relevant to health equity and representative of children, young people and their families,



working in partnership with CHQ HHSs digital health division and Department of Health System Performance Reporting Division.
- Undertake and support major strategic projects that align with CHQ's Health Equity Strategy and associated implementation plan and CHQ's Strategic Plan.
