About the role

As an Occupational Therapist, you will deliver high-quality, client-centred therapy to individuals across a variety of presentations including paediatric, neurodiverse, neurological, and psychosocial conditions. You will conduct thorough assessments, design and implement individualised treatment plans, and support clients in improving their functional independence. Your work will primarily focus on clients funded through NDIS, Medicare, and Aged Care programs. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team and external stakeholders to ensure holistic care delivery. Administrative support is provided for billing and compliance, allowing you to focus on clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' occupational performance in areas such as self-care, learning, play, rest, and productivity

- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised treatment plans that are client-centred and evidence-based

- Provide therapeutic support to NDIS participants, fostering their independence, well-being, and functional capacity

- Conduct NDIS assessments to determine participant needs accurately

- Compile comprehensive NDIS reports, including Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA), Supported Independent Living (SIL), Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), and Home Modifications

- Engage with participants, their families, and other support networks to understand and assist in achieving their individual goals

- Collaborate effectively with internal and external multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless coordination of care

- Complete all administrative tasks,



including timely and accurate clinical notes

- Adhere to funding body regulatory standards and documentation requirements, maintaining compliance with industry standards

- Provide guidance and support to junior occupational therapists and allied health assistants

About you

- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy

- AHPRA registration or equivalent

- National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check, and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain these)

- Valid Australian driver's license and access to a car

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Compassionate and client-centred approach

- Strong organisational and time-management skills

- Experience working with children (desirable)

- Experience with home modifications (desirable)
