Redeemer Lutheran College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Literacy and Numeracy Support Teacher to join our Junior School team on a temporary part time (0.6) basis for Term 4 2027. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with teachers, students and families to support diverse learners and help create positive educational outcomes in a caring Christian environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Dean of Learning (P-6) and Head of Learning Enrichment, you will provide targeted literacy and numeracy support to students in the Junior School while promoting inclusive teaching practices across the College. You will work closely with classroom teachers to implement evidence-based interventions and support students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy support programs for Junior School students.

- Collaborate with classroom teachers to design and implement effective learning strategies.

- Support the development and implementation of Personalised Support Plans.

- Monitor student progress and use assessment data to inform teaching practices.

- Promote inclusive educational practices and advocate for student participation and engagement.

- Build positive partnerships with students, families and colleagues.





- Contribute to student reporting processes and ongoing professional learning initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Experience teaching literacy and/or numeracy within a primary school setting.

- Strong knowledge of evidence-based literacy and numeracy interventions.

- A commitment to inclusive education and differentiated learning.

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.

- The ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.

- A commitment to child safety and student wellbeing.

- Alignment with the values and ethos of a Christian educational community.

Essential Requirements

- Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration.

- Eligibility to work in Australia.

- Demonstrated commitment to child protection and duty of care obligations.
