Scotford Fennessy is currently partnering with a well-funded resources company undertaking the refurbishment and restart of a significant processing facility in Western Australia's Mid-West region.
This is an opportunity to join the owner's team during a critical project delivery phase, working directly alongside senior project leadership and a leading EPCM contractor as the operation transitions toward production.
Unlike a traditional contractor-side Project Engineer role, this position is focused on representing the owner's interests, supporting project delivery, maintaining contractor alignment and ensuring key project milestones remain on track.

About the Role
Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the interface between the owner's team and EPCM contractor
- Monitoring project progress and key delivery milestones
- Reviewing contractor performance and reporting outcomes
- Assisting with project controls and schedule management
- Identifying project risks and escalating issues early
- Supporting procurement and material tracking activities
- Participating in project meetings and stakeholder engagement
- Coordinating across engineering, construction and operational teams
- Assisting with commissioning and operational readiness activities
This role places you on the front line of project execution,
acting as the critical link between the owner's team and EPCM contractor to ensure delivery milestones are achieved safely, efficiently and on schedule.
About You
- Degree-qualified Engineer (Mechanical preferred but not essential)
- Previous experience in Project Engineering roles within mining, minerals processing, infrastructure or heavy industry
- Exposure to brownfields projects, shutdowns, refurbishments or capital works
- Experience working alongside contractors and/or EPCM providers
- Solid understanding of project schedules and construction sequencing
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving ability
- High levels of integrity, accountability and emotional intelligence
- Ability to operate autonomously whilst remaining collaborative
