Fault finding, PLC diagnostics & automation
Maintain the equipment behind iconic Aussie brands

Want a role where you can actually use your electrical fault-finding skills?

We’re looking for a trade-qualified Maintenance Electrician to join our Engineering team at Arnott’s Virginia.

You’ll work across high-speed manufacturing equipment, responding to breakdowns,



completing planned maintenance and diagnosing electrical and automation faults to keep our production lines running safely and reliably.

This is a hands-on role for an electrician who enjoys finding the cause of a problem, getting equipment running again and looking for ways to prevent the issue happening next time.

What you’ll be doing

- Fault-find and repair electrical issues on high-speed manufacturing equipment
- Respond to breakdowns and minimise production downtime
- Complete preventative and planned electrical maintenance
- Support PLC diagnostics and troubleshoot automation systems
- Diagnose recurring equipment issues and identify improvements
- Complete maintenance handovers and CMMS documentation
- Work closely with Production, Engineering and Maintenance teams
- Contribute to equipment upgrades and continuous improvement
- Work safely in line with site, OH&S;, GMP and quality requirements

The role spans both reactive and planned maintenance, with a strong focus on equipment reliability and improving site performance.

What we’re looking for

First and foremost, you’ll be a trade-qualified Electrician who is confident working hands-on with industrial equipment.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

- Electrical trade qualification
- Industrial electrical maintenance experience
- Robust fault-finding and troubleshooting capability




- Experience working with automation systems
- Confidence supporting PLC diagnostics
- A strong commitment to safe work practices
- A practical, proactive approach to problem-solving
- Clear communication and the ability to work across production and maintenance teams

Experience using SAP and working in a high-speed FMCG or manufacturing environment would be highly regarded.
