Michael Page is partnering exclusively with a well-established organisation seeking a technically strong Senior Financial Accountant / Reporting Specialist to take ownership of financial reporting, statutory compliance, and complex accounting matters within a sophisticated finance function. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, solving technical accounting challenges, and partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial outcomes.

You'll be the go-to technical accounting expert, working across statutory reporting, audit management, accounting standards, and group reporting activities. You'll have visibility across the business, exposure to senior leadership, and the opportunity to genuinely influence how the finance function operates.

Description

- Month-end and year-end reporting
- Statutory financial statements and disclosures
- Technical accounting research and position papers




- Implementation of new and revised accounting standards
- External audit management
- Cash flow, board and committee reporting
- Strengthening controls and improving finance processes
- Supporting and mentoring other finance team members

Profile

- CA or CPA qualification
- Big 4 audit experience and/or a strong technical accounting background - desirable
- 5+ years' experience within financial reporting, technical accounting, or corporate finance
- Excellent knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB)
- Experience managing statutory reporting and external audits
- Robust stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- A natural curiosity for solving complex accounting issues
