Yellow Iron Fleet is a heavy equipment and machinery provider supporting the mining, civil and construction industries across Australia. Established in 2017 and based in Big Hill, Victoria, Yellow Iron Fleet supplies and supports heavy plant including excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, dump trucks, graders and scrapers for projects of varying scale and complexity.

About The Role

In this role, you will fabricate, weld, assemble and repair metal components and structures to a high standard, supporting the reliability and performance of heavy mining and earthmoving equipment. You will work with a range of materials and equipment, follow job specifications, and contribute to a safe, organised and productive workshop or site environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Fabricate, weld, cut, shape and assemble metal components and structures.

· Read and interpret workshop drawings, plans and specifications.

· Carry out MIG, TIG, stick or flux-core welding as required.

· Use grinders, drills, presses, cutters and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.

· Measure, mark out and prepare materials accurately before fabrication.

· Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.

· Complete repairs, modifications and general fabrication tasks as directed.





· Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.

About you

· Trade qualification in Boilermaking, Welding, Metal Fabrication or a related field preferred.

· Proven experience in fabrication, welding or structural metalwork.

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.

· Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

· Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

· Current driver licence and White Card desirable.

· Forklift, EWP, dogging, rigging or confined space tickets will be highly regarded.
