In this influential role, you will lead in shaping and strengthening our governance, legal, compliance and risk management framework. You will provide strategic leadership and expert advice to our Executive and Board on governance, legislative compliance, legal matters, risk management and organisational policy.

Leading a team of six experienced professionals, you will oversee the delivery of critical governance and legal functions, including Board and Committee secretariat services, internal audit programs, policy development and review, legislative compliance, risk management, Freedom of Information, records and information management, and legal advisory services. In doing this you will work across the organisation and with key external stakeholders, including the Crown Solicitor's Office and other South Australian Government agencies.

The experience we are looking for…

To be successful in our position you will have:

- Leadership experience managing diverse teams and fostering a high- performance culture, ideally leading governance, compliance, risk and legal functions.

- Detailed knowledge of governance frameworks, legislative obligations and compliance requirements, ideally within a statutory or public sector environment.

- Proven experience developing, and implementing policy and interpreting legislation.

- Experience influencing and advising Executives, Boards or similar governance bodies.

- A strong track record of leading and delivering complex projects and organisational initiatives.

Remuneration: SM1 ($144,421) + Superannuation.
