About the Position

This role supports the smooth, day‑to‑day operation of the City’s community centres and libraries, ensuring programs and services are delivered to a high standard. It provides onsite coordination, assists staff and volunteers, and delivers engaging activities that foster an inclusive and welcoming community environment.

Within the Library Service, the position provides specialist support for library systems, digital resources, technologies and collections, assisting customers and staff with complex enquiries and troubleshooting technical issues to ensure effective service delivery.

This position also undertakes key administrative, financial and procurement tasks and assists with monitoring budgets. The role also provides day-to-day guidance and support to staff and volunteers and acts as a key operational contact at designated library and community centre locations.

A strong focus on safety and compliance is essential, including overseeing building maintenance, security, and emergency procedures. Through positive relationships and proactive engagement, the role contributes to an innovative, community‑focused service that enhances participation, learning and wellbeing.
