MuraConnect is partnering with a Queensland Government client to identify a Principal Business Analyst to support a major technology transformation program delivering new case management, data and intelligence capability as part of a broader service reform.

This is an initial contract through to February 2027, with the program extending to early 2028.

You’ll join a large, complex ICT program at a pivotal stage, leading requirements workshops with a wide range of stakeholders and helping shape how new systems and processes are designed. It’s a genuinely high-visibility program with strong executive sponsorship and a firm delivery timeline.

The Role
As the Princiapal Business Analyst you will be responsible for eliciting, analysing and documenting complex business requirements, and working closely with technical teams to design fit-for-purpose solutions, including:

- Leading workshops and consultations with diverse stakeholders to elicit and document business requirements
- Driving process analysis and optimisation using best-practice modelling techniques (including BPMN)
- Collaborating with technical teams to design and evaluate solutions aligned to enterprise architecture and government policy
- Contributing to business cases, options analysis and strategic recommendations
- Mentoring / guiding junior and Senior Business Analysts

About You
To be successful,



you will be an experienced Principal Business Analyst who is confident facilitating workshops with senior and diverse stakeholders, comfortable operating in a large, highly governed program environment, and skilled in both requirements documentation and process improvement.

You will bring:

- Demonstrated high-level experience eliciting, documenting and analysing business requirements (workshops, interviews, prototyping)
- Strong BPMN / process modelling and process optimisation expertise
- Experience working across both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation and written/verbal communication skills
- Tertiary qualification or certification in Business Analysis ie BABOK (desirable)
