YOUR NEW EMPLOYER
Your new employer is a Profit for Purpose organisation responsible for an incredible network of holiday parks, campgrounds and recreation spaces across coastal and regional NSW. This is much more than a traditional holiday park operator, they look after places where people holiday, camp, swim, fish, walk, gather and spend time with family, so there is a genuine connection between the work they do and the communities surrounding each location.
Around 2.1 million guests and visitors enjoy their parks and spaces each year, contributing approximately $135 million in economic benefit to NSW. A significant amount is invested straight back into the places they manage, including around $22 million in capital works, with a strong focus on improving facilities, protecting the natural environment and creating better spaces for guests, locals and communities.
They are a genuinely purpose-led organisation and are very proud to be globally recognised for the positive impact they have on their people, communities and the environment.
YOUR NEW ROLE
This is a diverse role where you will coordinate more than 10 ongoing compliance programs across areas including emergency management, bushfire, vegetation, arborist inspections, WHS and other regulatory requirements. You will also coordinate planned asset maintenance across a huge variety of assets, from cabins, roads and amenities through to trees, drainage, foreshore infrastructure and public reserves. That means scheduling contractors, following up work, keeping documentation in order and working closely with Park Managers across NSW.
Most of it is planned... until it is not and you need to be able to reshuffle priorities, keep everyone informed and get things moving without your head exploding. You will also coordinate smaller asset and infrastructure projects, working with contractors and consultants and keeping on top of timelines, approvals,
documentation and completion.
A lot of the current scheduling and tracking is managed through Excel, so you need to be comfortable using it and confident keeping plenty of moving parts organised. The good news is that they are upgrading their asset management systems, so you also get the opportunity to help improve processes, implement the new platform and make the whole thing work better.
There is some travel involved, usually around one park visit per month, which is actually a perk of the job when your office for the day could be somewhere on the NSW coast or beside a lake.
