About the Opportunity

As a member of the Integrated Logistics Support team, this position is primarily focussed on Cataloguing and Codification activities.

This position is ideal for trade, technical or logistics qualified candidates, early-career technical professionals, or individuals with experience in maintenance, manufacturing, defence, heavy industry, mining, shipbuilding or similar environments.

As a Technical Officer, you will support the development and maintenance of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) products, processes and systems that help ensure submarine equipment remains reliable, maintainable and available throughout its lifecycle.

Previous ILS experience is not required. Training and mentoring will be provided to help you develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the role.

This is a full-time opportunity based at our Osborne site in South Australia.





Responsibilities

- Assist with the development and maintenance of ILS products and documentation.
- Support configuration, maintenance and asset management activities.
- Use Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applications to record and manage technical information.
- Work collaboratively with Engineering, Planning, Maintenance and Project teams.
- Contribute to reliability and supportability improvement activities.
- Learn and apply ILS principles, processes and defence industry requirements.

About You

- Trade Certificate, technical, or logistics qualification, or relevant industry experience.
- Experience in maintenance, manufacturing, defence, mining, heavy industry, shipbuilding or a similar technical environment is desirable.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret technical information, drawings and manuals.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Motivation to develop a long-term technical career within ASC.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.



Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
