Nixor Workforce is looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a busy engineering workshop, South of the River location.

We are seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters with strong mechanical fitting experience who can work safely and efficiently within a workshop environment.

Job Details:

- Pay: $62.50 per hour flat rate
- Location: Henderson, WA
- Hours: Monday to Friday - 10 hour days
- Duration: 6 + months
- Pay: Weekly pay

Duties:
As a Mechanical Fitter, your work may include:

- Mechanical fitting, assembly and installation of equipment
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Assembly and fitting of mechanical components
- Repairs, maintenance and fault finding
- Using hand and power tools and workshop equipment
- Measuring, aligning and fitting components to specifications
- Assisting with fabrication and general workshop activities
- Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area




- Following all site and workshop safety procedures
- General mechanical fitting duties as required

Requirements:

- Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
- Previous experience in a workshop or engineering workplace
- Strong mechanical fitting and assembly experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Current White Card
- Valid Australian driver’s licence
- Australian working rights
- Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team

Desirable:

- Previous experience within a heavy engineering or industrial workshop
- Forklift licence
- High Risk Work Licence
