The Role
We are currently seeking a motivated, reliable and hands-on Full-Time Maintenance Team Member to join our team at Pacific Fair.
This role is ideal for someone with practical maintenance experience who takes pride in presentation, enjoys problem-solving and is confident working in a busy retail environment.
The position operates across a Tuesday to Saturday roster, with rotating start and finish times, including late trade on Thursdays until 9:00pm.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out general maintenance, handy-person and minor trade duties
- Completing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks
- Ensuring the presentation and condition of the centre is maintained to a high standard
- Responding to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Liaising with tenants, customers, contractors and the client
- Providing a high level of customer service
- Assisting with the safe movement and setup of equipment where required
- Working independently while also contributing positively to the broader onsite team
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous maintenance or facilities experience, preferably within a retail or commercial environment
- Strong practical and versatile handy-person skills
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A proactive, reliable and self-motivated approach
- Solid communication and customer service skills
- The ability to respond professionally to customer and tenant enquiries
- The physical capability to safely move equipment and undertake hands-on maintenance tasks
- Confidence using power tools
A trade qualification in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting or a related field will be highly regarded but is not essential.
Experience or licences relating to forklifts and Elevated Work Platforms (EWP/scissor lifts) will also be highly regarded.
You must also:
- Be available to work the required Tuesday to Saturday roster, including Thursday evenings until 9:00pm
- Be willing to obtain a National Police Clearance
- Hold valid Australian working rights
