The permanent full-time position of Cultural and Community Partnerships Officer will assist in implementing the CHQ’s Health Equity Strategy 2025-2028 and Implementation Plan and delivery of Health Service Directive – First Nations Health Equity Strategies. Create, translate and deliver clear, effective, culturally appropriate communications to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community to deliver on the commitment for transparent, information sharing for improved health outcomes.

About the Team

The Health Equity Team at Children's Health Queensland (CHQ) leads the implementation of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Equity Strategy, driving organisation-wide reform to improve health outcomes and experiences for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and families. Working across clinical and corporate services, the team partners with communities and stakeholders to ensure access to culturally safe, responsive and equitable healthcare services.

About the Role

In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:

- Support the Health Equity Program's - Partnership Portfolio to:
- Establish effective, regular, sustainable communication pathways and networks with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community including consumers, their families and carers, workforce, community and organisations.
- Create, translate and effectively communicate information with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community including consumers, their families and carers, workforce, community and organisations.
- Assist in establishing and strengthening Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander strategic partnerships to improve health and social, emotional and cultural wellbeing outcomes.




- Understand and monitor formal and informal partnership agreements such as Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Funding Agreements against deliverables and reporting requirements. outcomes outlined in partnership agreements and arrangements with continuous quality improvement and strategic thinking in mind.
