AI is changing how contractors price work, prepare tenders and make commercial decisions. This is an opportunity to get ahead of that change and build a recent career at the intersection of electrical construction, estimating, technology and sales.

You will represent an AI-powered electrical estimating platform that turns construction drawings into marked-up plans and a tender-ready bill of quantities within 24 hours. The technology is backed by a 60-person estimating team that reviews every output before it reaches the customer.

The leads are already coming in, and prospective customers have received their first takeoff. Your role is to open the drawings and BOQ with them, demonstrate the value, answer technical questions and convert that interest into a subscription.

You could currently be an Electrical Estimator working for a subcontractor, or a builder-side Estimator with strong exposure to electrical services and complex services packages. You may also be an electrician who has run a crew, operated your own business, priced your own work, and won projects directly from builders and clients.

Perhaps you are ready to step away from the pressure of running your own business. Maybe you enjoy the commercial side of estimating, but no longer want to spend every week buried in tenders. Either way, you want to use what you know in a role with greater earning potential and exposure to a rapidly moving industry.

This will suit someone naturally forward-thinking. You are already experimenting with AI tools, following developments in construction technology and thinking about how the industry will operate in five years,

not just how it operates today.

This is not a role for a software salesperson looking to enter the construction industry. You must be a proficient Estimator working in Australian commercial construction, either with an electrical contractor or a head contractor, delivering service-heavy projects. You will need a strong understanding of electrical takeoffs, labour and material rates, margins, exclusions and clarifications, with the credibility to discuss and challenge a commercial tender line by line. Estimating experience from outside commercial construction will not be considered.

You will join a young, energetic Cremorne office shared by several construction and technology businesses. The environment is founder-led, ambitious and genuinely excited about building new technology for the construction industry. The team regularly trains at the local gym, with company-supplied memberships. Have regular hangouts on Friday afternoons to celebrate wins and analyse how to keep growing.

The role offers a base salary of $100,000 to $140,000 plus super, depending on experience, with commission on subscriptions closed and on-target earnings of approximately $200,000, increasing to $250,000 for a strong performer.

If you are ready to use your electrical and estimating experience in a different way, apply directly through SEEK. No resume? No problem. Email ••••@forefrontrec.com.au or call or text 04•• ••• 483.

We are Forefront Recruitment, connecting top talent with Australia's leading construction and technology businesses.
