About the role

As a Retail Sales Assistant, you'll help create a welcoming and memorable in-store experience for every customer. You'll support the day-to-day operations of the store, build your product knowledge, contribute to sales targets and work alongside a passionate team that takes pride in representing the Ringers Western brand.

Key responsibilities

- Welcome customers and deliver friendly, genuine and knowledgeable service

- Help customers find products that suit their needs, style and lifestyle

- Develop strong knowledge of our products, pricing, features and availability

- Identify natural opportunities to recommend additional products

- Contribute to individual and store sales targets

- Build customer loyalty and encourage repeat visits

- Handle customer enquiries and concerns professionally and promptly

- Keep the store clean, organised and visually appealing

- Assist with visual merchandising and product displays

- Process sales, returns and exchanges accurately using the point-of-sale system

- Receive, unpack, replenish and organise stock

- Assist with stocktakes and inventory checks

- Report stock shortages, discrepancies or other issues to the Store Manager

- Follow store procedures and workplace health and safety requirements

- Arrive prepared and on time for every rostered shift

- A genuine interest in providing outstanding customer service

- Confidence working in a busy, fast-paced retail environment

- Reliability, initiative and robust attention to detail

- The ability to learn about our products and confidently engage with customers

- Ability to stand for extended periods and complete physical tasks such as unpacking, replenishing and moving stock

- Availability to work a flexible roster, including weekends, public holidays and peak retail periods

- Previous retail, customer service or sales experience is highly regarded but not essential
