We're looking for an experienced Operations Coordinator to join a well-established and supportive operations team, coordinating import and export shipments from start to finish.

This is a hands-on opportunity suited to someone with a background in freight forwarding or logistics who enjoys taking ownership, working accurately and delivering excellent customer service. This is a permanent, Monday to Friday opportunity, 8:30am - 5:00pm, with salary negotiable based on experience.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating import and export shipments from booking through to final delivery
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, carriers and overseas offices
- Ensuring compliance with Australian Customs regulations and internal QMS procedures
- Organising transport and monitoring shipments against customer service standards and KPIs
- Maintaining accurate shipment records, tracking information and system updates
- Processing invoicing within required timeframes
- Reviewing shipment files for accurate costing and profitability
- Keeping customers informed of shipment updates, delays and changes




- Completing company collections using a company vehicle

About You

To be successful, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience in freight forwarding or logistics (essential)
- Strong understanding of export operations and documentation
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and freight management systems
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills
- A current Australian Driver's Licence
- Dangerous Goods knowledge would be advantageous
