Sheridans Private Wealth
Glenelg
About the roIf you are an experienced paraplanner who is tired of producing advice you never get to deliver, this role moves you out of the back office and into the client relationship.
You will sit in client meetings, own the onboarding process end to end, and become a person our clients call by name. It is a step up in responsibility and visibility, and it is a role with somewhere to go for the person who handles it well.
About Sheridans Private Wealth
Sheridans Private Wealth is a boutique private wealth advisory practice based in Eastwood and Glenelg, authorised under Paragem Pty Ltd (AFSL 297276). We work with a select group of households on retirement planning, wealth accumulation, structuring and intergenerational strategy.
We are deliberately small and deliberately well-built. We invest heavily in technology and process so that our people spend their time on advice and client relationships instead of administration. If you have spent the last few years fighting broken workflows, you will notice the difference.
Our firm is currently growing and has succession planning needs. As such we need enthusiastic new Advisers to help build the future of the business.
The role
This is a client-facing advice support role. You will:
• Attend client meetings alongside the Managing Director — contributing to the discussion, not just taking notes
• Own the discovery process — data collection, fact-finding, and making sure nothing is missed before strategy work begins
• Project manage new client onboarding end to end, holding the timeline and keeping every party moving
• Produce Statements of Advice and Records of Advice at times, and project-manage implementation through to completion
• Act as a key point of contact for clients — the person they call, and the person who gets it done
• Help manage the adviser's advice workload — pipeline, review cycles, and the capacity that comes with it
What you'll bring
• At least two years of paraplanning experience in an Australian advice practice
• Robust technical grounding across superannuation, retirement income, Centrelink, personal insurance and tax-effective structuring
• The ability to write transparent, compliant advice documents without heavy rework
• Confidence in front of clients — you can hold a conversation, read a room, and be trusted with the relationship
• Genuine project management instincts: you follow things through and you don't let items go quiet
• An approved qualification meeting the education standard for financial advisers, completed or well underway
• XPlan experience is well regarded
Where this can lead
For the right person, this role leads to a supervised Professional Year with this practice and, beyond that, full authorisation as an adviser.
Once the successful candidate has demonstrated the ability to operate confidently in client meetings, produce advice that needs little rework, and build client relationships, commencing a Professional Year will be the reward.
What we will commit to is this: if you demonstrate that readiness, we will back you properly — with structured supervision, exam and study support, and a genuine path to advising your own clients here.
What we offer
• Real client exposure from your first week, not a holding pattern
• Direct, daily mentoring from an experienced CFP® practitioner
• A modern, well-resourced technology stack that removes the grind from advice production
• A defined pathway to a Professional Year and adviser authorisation for the person who earns it
• Salary of $90,000 – $110,000 plus superannuation, reviewed annually with performance incentives
• A small, high-standards team where your work is visible and your contribution matters
How to apply
Apply through SEEK with your CV and a short cover note telling us what you want from the next stage of your career and why this role fits it.
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia. No agencies, please.
