About the Role:
SeaRoad Shipping Pty Ltd is seeking to employ experienced seagoing Electro Technical Officers (AMSA certified) or Electricians.

Candidates must have recent marine experience, valid state Electrical licence and be domiciled in Australia. Experience with hybrid propulsion systems and hazardous area equipment is highly preferable but not essential for those with requisite experience and the right attitude and temperament.

With two large RoRo vessels operating between Melbourne and Devonport, Tasmania, we offer an exciting opportunity to meaningfully upskill our engineering department and add further efficiencies to our seagoing team. You’ll work on a rotation schedule of 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off, giving you the perfect work/life balance between time at sea and time at home.

As ETO/Electrician, you will have opportunity to:

- Make a real impact within the onboard engineering team and the vessels efficiency.





- Support the Chief and First Engineer in the day-to-day operation of onboard electrical and automation systems, including management of external contractors to a high standard.

- Be responsible for the proper working of, and repairs to vessel electrical systems, propulsion plant, auxiliary systems, and deck machinery.

- Work cooperatively with multi department/disciplines, third party managers, contractors and SeaRoad management.

- Ensure compliance with safety, maintenance, and environmental standards.

- Actively participate in the company Safety Management System including developing recent processes and procedures for electrical maintenance.

- Be a key contributor to the ship's overall operational success.

What We’re Looking For:

SeaRoad is seeking motivated candidates that have a proven record in maintaining and fault-finding electrical generation/distribution and automation systems who are looking for a stable company and a long-term position.
