We don't stand still - there are always opportunities to do more and do better.
What's on offer?
We're looking for an experienced General Foreperson to join our Fulton Hogan Construction team and support the delivery of the Current Richmond Bridge Project. This is a key leadership role where you'll lead site activities, bring teams together and ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
Working closely with the engineering team, you'll take ownership of day-to-day operations on site, setting explicit direction for crews and subcontractors and keeping work moving in line with programme expectations.
As a General Foreperson, you'll provide leadership across multiple work fronts, coordinating site resources, mentoring supervisory staff and driving project outcomes through effective planning and execution.
What you'll do
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day site operations across multiple work fronts, ensuring activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.
- Provide leadership and direction to Forepersons, Leading Hands, crews, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
- Plan and allocate labour, plant, and resources to maximise productivity and maintain project momentum.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement practical solutions to keep works on track and within quality expectations.
- Work closely with General SuperIntendent & the Engineering Team to sequence works, manage priorities,
and drive successful project delivery.
- Champion a strong safety, quality, and performance culture, ensuring compliance with project and Fulton Hogan standards.
What we're looking for
We're looking for a General Foreperson who brings significant experience in civil construction and understands what it takes to deliver complex works safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You're confident leading large site teams, coordinating multiple activities and maintaining momentum across a busy project environment.
You take a practical, hands-on approach and lead by example, setting the tone for safety, quality, and productivity. You're organised, proactive and comfortable making decisions on the ground to keep work moving. You build strong relationships, communicate clearly, and create a positive team culture where people feel supported and accountable. You take pride in your work and the outcomes your team delivers.
You have proven experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors, with the ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining strong safety and operational performance. You're an effective leader who can influence outcomes, mentor emerging supervisors, and work collaboratively with project stakeholders to achieve delivery targets.
This is a great opportunity to step into a role where you can further develop your leadership capability and play a key role in delivering major infrastructure projects as part of a high-performing Construction team.
Join Fulton Hogan and be part of a team that's delivering real outcomes for communities. If you're looking to contribute to a project that makes a lasting difference, we'd love to hear from you. You'll be supported by a team that values safety, teamwork and getting the job done right. Bring your experience, build your career, and help us shape infrastructure we can all be proud of.
Our people share the same set of values that keep us REAL. Respect, Energy and Effort, Attitude and Leadership encapsulate what we stand for at Fulton Hogan and encourage us to foster a diverse and inclusive culture where we listen to, care for, celebrate, and respect everyone.

If our values resonate with you, please submit an application for the position. If you're not sure that you meet 100% of the selection criteria, that's okay, we would still like to hear from you and potentially discuss how your skills could be utilised at Fulton Hogan.
