About the role

JD Propagation is seeking an accomplished, dynamic, and motivated Accounts Qualified to join our team. Reporting directly to management, you will be responsible for managing the company's bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, and financial reporting functions. Key responsibilities

- Accounts payable and accounts receivable

- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations

- Payroll processing and payroll compliance

- BAS preparation

- Management of PAYG withholding obligations and ATO reporting

- Cash flow monitoring and reporting

- General ledger maintenance

- Monthly management reporting

- Debtor and creditor management

- Preparation of year-end work papers and liaison with external accountants

- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

- Inventory and production cost reporting support

- Maintaining accurate financial records and internal controls

- Supporting management with financial analysis and business decision-making

- General administration and finance-related duties as required

About you

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant,



Finance Officer, or similar role

- Strong understanding of Australian accounting principles, taxation requirements, and compliance obligations

- Experience using accounting software such as Xero, or similar platforms

- Payroll processing experience and knowledge of payroll compliance requirements

- Experience managing PAYG withholding obligations, employee and contractor tax compliance, and associated ATO reporting requirements

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong organisational and time management skills

- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills

- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

Highly Regarded

Experience within a primary production, agricultural, horticultural, nursery, farming, or production-based business will be highly regarded, particularly where you have:

- A practical understanding of primary production taxation and industry-specific deductions

- Knowledge of primary production tax concessions and compliance requirements

- Experience preparing BAS, payroll tax, superannuation, and end-of-financial-year reporting requirements

- Experience with Figured agricultural financial management software

- Experience in dealing with international suppliers and foreign currency transactions
