An exciting new prospect has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a busy finance function and take ownership of the reporting and analysis that shapes commercial decision-making. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary against budget
- Partner with project and operational teams to monitor costs, margins and forecasts across active jobs
- Build and maintain cash flow forecasts and support the annual budgeting cycle
- Produce project profitability reporting, flagging risks and opportunities early
- Assist with month-end close, including journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support forecasting and scenario modelling to guide senior management
- Contribute to improvements across reporting processes and financial controls
- Deliver ad hoc analysis to support the broader leadership team
To be considered for this role you will have 3–4 years' experience in a similar role, along with a relevant tertiary degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline. You will be near completion of your CPA or CA, and bring strong Excel skills and confidence handling large data sets. Just as importantly, you will have a commercial mindset and the ability to turn numbers into practical insight, backed by explicit communication skills and a knack for building relationships across a business.
