Perth College is looking for an enthusiastic Humanities and Social Sciences Teacher to join our vibrant learning community. The Humanities and Social Sciences Department encompasses Business Management and Enterprise, Economics, Geography, Modern History, Politics and Law, Philosophy and Ethics and Beliefs and Values.

This is a temporary 0.7 FTE to full-time position for Semester 1 2027 to cover leave. The School operates on a five-day timetable, and the ability to teach both Year 7 to 10 HASS classes with some Beliefs and Values classes is required.

The successful candidate will have a commitment to inspiring students to achieve their full potential, and a desire to make a meaningful contribution to the wider School community. Both experienced and graduate teachers are encouraged to apply.

About you:

If you are a passionate Humanities and Social Sciences Teacher who inspires students to engage with multi-disciplinary lower school Humanities and Social Sciences learning curriculum, we would love to hear from you. You will bring excellent classroom management and communication skills, a student-centred approach to teaching and learning, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic and supportive teaching team.

You have:

- A Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts with a Postgraduate Diploma of Education, or equivalent teaching qualification

- Current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia

- Current Working with Children Check

- Experience teaching Senior School Humanities and Social Sciences, with the ability to teach the multi-disciplinary lower school curriculum (highly regarded)

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills

- Strong collaboration skills,



with the ability to share expertise, resources and best practice

- A demonstrated passion for English education and the ability to engage students in critical thinking, analysis and effective communication

- A commitment to fostering academic excellence and supporting the diverse learning needs of students
