Practice Supervisor – GP Medical Practice

As Practice Supervisor, you will be a key point of contact for the team and will help ensure the practice delivers an excellent experience for both patients and staff. This is a hands‑on leadership position for someone who enjoys working with people, supporting a multidisciplinary team and ensuring the practice operates smoothly, efficiently and professionally. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and GP Owner, while providing day‑to‑day leadership and support to the entire practice team, including doctors, nurses, reception and allied health.

Key responsibilities

- Overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of the practice
- Working closely with and supporting the whole practice team
- Providing leadership, guidance and support to clinical and non‑clinical staff
- Supporting doctors, nurses, reception and allied health with operational requirements
- Assisting with staff rostering, leave management and daily staffing needs
- Ensuring effective communication and teamwork across the practice
- Monitoring patient flow, waiting times and patient experience
- Assisting with Medicare, billing and general practice administration
- Managing and resolving day‑to‑day operational issues
- Supporting the onboarding, training and development of team members

About you





- Previous experience as a Practice Supervisor, Practice Manager, Senior Medical Receptionist or similar leadership role
- Experience working in a GP or primary healthcare workplace
- Strong understanding of GP practice operations and workflows
- Knowledge of Medicare, billing and general practice administration
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with doctors and the wider practice team
- Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills
- The ability to work independently and take initiative
- A professional, positive and solutions‑focused approach
- A genuine commitment to delivering an excellent patient and team experience

$45-50 per hour + super

Casual employment with potential to transition to permanent
