Our client, anindependent statutory authority that serves the Australian community by helping ensure financial institutions deliver on the financial commitments they make, within a stable, efficient and competitive financial system are looking for an experienced Accounting Advisor. Duties of the Accounting Advisor

- Provide subject matter expertise in banking, finance, accounting standards, prudential reporting and regulatory requirements for implementation of regulatory change projects;
- Review and validate reporting taxonomies, data definitions, calculations and reporting requirements;
- Assess and validate business and technical solutions, supporting requirements analysis, design and implementation;
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), by developing test scenarios, executing test cases, validating results and identifying defect;
- Develop guidance, training materials and procedures, and support knowledge transfer to business-as-usual teams.

Skills and Experience Required

- Strong knowledge of banking finance, accounting standards, prudential reporting and regulation;
- Experience interpreting and applying accounting and regulatory reporting requirements, including AASB 18 and AASB 9 provisioning requirements,



preferably in a banking context;
- Strong analytical skills, including financial data, reporting metrics and business impact assessment;
- Experience developing guidance, training and knowledge transfer materials;
- Experience in providing expert knowledge for defining requirements, validating impacts, and ensuring outcomes are embedded into BAU;
- Professional qualifications in relevant field e.g. accounting/finance related discipline (e.g. CA or CPA), or Certified Financial Analyst.
