About the Role
This is a 12-month long service leave replacement contract for the
2027 school year, commencing Term 1 2027.
Tintern Grammar seeks to appoint an experienced and passionate Acting Head of Learning Enhancement Junior School to lead our Junior School Learning Enhancement team while providing high quality teaching and support for students with additional learning needs.
This is a 0.8 FTE position comprising:
- 0.4 FTE Position of Responsibility Head of Learning Enhancement (Junior School)
- 0.4 FTE Junior School Learning Enhancement Teacher
Reporting to the Head of Junior School, the successful applicant will provide educational leadership for the Junior School Learning Enhancement team, oversee the provision of learning support programs, coordinate Learning Enhancement services, and work collaboratively with teachers, families and external professionals to ensure students with additional learning needs are supported to achieve their potential.
About You
You will be an experienced and collaborative educator with a passion for inclusive education and demonstrated leadership in Learning Enhancement. You will be able to demonstrate:
- Current VIT registration
- Relevant teaching qualifications; Special Education qualifications highly regarded
- Experience supporting students with additional learning needs
- Strong leadership, mentoring and staff management skills
- Experience leading Learning Enhancement programs and interventions
- Ability to interpret assessment and diagnostic data
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, including NCCD processes
- Commitment to inclusive, evidence-based teaching practices
- Collaborative approach and commitment to School life
- Strong digital literacy skill
