About the role The Administration Officer will provide coordination and administrative support that underpins the Remote Accord's engagement with its network of remote and very remote aged care providers. The role will work with the team across the full breadth of the Remote Accord's workplan, supporting Leadership Group meetings, provider visits, consultations, and sector engagement, ensuring that scheduling, minutes, and logistics are handled efficiently and reliably.
The Administration
Officer will partner closely with the Remote Connectivity Coordinator with a particular focus on coordinating the new Community of Practice. The role will also maintain key organisational systems and engagement records, and provide administrative support around quarterly, annual, and Government reporting cycles.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate Leadership Group meetings, including papers, agendas, minutes and follow-up on actions
- Support the quarterly review, annual review and Leadership Group/Department reporting cycles by collating data, updating workplan status and preparing inputs for the team
- Coordinate scheduling, travel, logistics, preparation, records and follow-up for provider visits
- Coordinate distribution, responses, records and follow-up for out-of-session Leadership Group consultations
- Support scheduling, records and follow-up for engagement with government and sector partners as required
- Work in close partnership with the Remote Connectivity Coordinator to coordinate delivery of the Community of Practice
- Coordinate session scheduling, invitations and participant management
- Prepare and distribute session materials and resources
- Take minutes, track actions, and manage follow-up from each session
- Maintain accurate records of participation and engagement to support monitoring and evaluation of the pilot
About you
- Demonstrated experience in an administration, coordination, or executive support role
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and meet deadlines while working independently and remotely
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including confident, professional liaison with providers, government, and sector stakeholders
- High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in records, data, and scheduling
- Advanced computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite, virtual meeting technology, and experience maintaining databases or CRM-style systems
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a small, dispersed team with minimal day-to-day supervision
- Strong work ethic, personal integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality of information associated with the Remote Accord
- A current Working with Vulnerable People check will be required

It was established following the release of the 'A Matter of Care' report by the Aged Care Workforce Strategy Taskforce in 2018, which recognised the unique needs of remote aged care workers and providers. The Remote Accord is hosted by UnitingCare Australia.
