Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth’s Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible designing, constructing and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the current Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities.
ANI plays a pivotal role in delivering Australia’s naval shipbuilding capability, contributing to one of the nation’s most significant and complex infrastructure programs. Based in Adelaide, our work underpins the future of naval shipbuilding through world-class infrastructure at Osborne.
ANI has an opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join its AUKUS team in Adelaide. In this role, you will support ANI's Nuclear Stewardship function by providing administrative and project coordination support to the Head of Engineering, Head of Nuclear Security and Safeguards and the broader team, assisting with engineering change control, design management, preparation of permit documentation and other registers.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Administrative support to the Head of Engineering, Head of Nuclear Security and Safeguards and other members of the ANI AUKUS team including, but not limited to, meeting schedules, minute taking, diary management, preparation and formatting of documentation including reports.
- Support AUKUS team deliverables and initiatives by assisting in the development of key documents and resources tailored to project needs.
- Support the development and implementation of new and existing processes and work systems related to AUKUS requirements, including governance, safety and document control management.
- Maintain relationships which support the overall achievement of AUKUS team objectives.
- Ensure all interactions model a responsive and customer service focused culture.
- Coordinate the onboarding and training of new project team members.
- Manage the SharePoint and/or Teams sites as applicable
- Any other responsibilities which may align with the role as assigned.
About You: You are a highly organised administrator with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. You are a proactive team player who enjoys supporting complex projects, building strong stakeholder relationships and working in a professional environment where confidentiality and accuracy are critical.
You will also have:
- Australian citizenship and otherwise eligible to obtain and maintain any required security clearances required for a Defence related facility.
- High level of organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to support projects, work collaboratively to prioritise workloads, problem solve and meet deadlines.
- Well-established interpersonal skills with proven ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills including experience with the preparation of documentation, including inputting to draft correspondence, minute taking, reports and other resource materials.
- Proficiency working with the full range of Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to confidentiality and flexibility with a professional work team.
- Completion of appropriate qualification and/or 3 years’ experience working in industrial/infrastructure/government environment with a multi-disciplinary team.
Eligibility: Applicants must be able to either hold or be able to gain and maintain an appropriate national security clearance. Applicants will be required to consent to background checks.
