Lawson Air is looking for a motivated and reliable Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Apprentice to join our team based in Mansfield, Brisbane.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is genuinely interested in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry and wants to develop their skills while working alongside experienced technicians and installers.

About the Role

This is a hands-on apprenticeship providing exposure to a broad range of residential and light commercial air conditioning work.

You will work alongside experienced tradespeople and progressively develop your technical skills across installation, servicing, maintenance and fault finding.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist qualified technicians with the installation of residential and light commercial air conditioning systems
- Assist with service, maintenance and breakdown work
- Learn to identify and diagnose faults with air conditioning systems
- Assist with testing, commissioning and system start-up
- Learn safe and correct use of tools, equipment and materials
- Assist with preparing equipment, materials and tools for jobs
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work workplace
- Complete job documentation and site records using digital systems
- Follow SWMS, safety procedures and company requirements
- Work closely with technicians, installers and the wider Lawson Air team
- Attend different customer and commercial sites throughout Brisbane as required

About You We are looking for someone who is:

- Keen to learn and develop their technical skills
- Practical and enjoys working with their hands
- Able to follow instructions and work safely
- A good communicator with a positive attitude
- Comfortable working as part of a team
- Organised and takes pride in their work
- Physically capable of performing the requirements of a trade role
- Holds a current driver's licence or is working towards obtaining one

Previous experience in the HVAC, electrical, mechanical or construction industries is an advantage but is not essential. For the right person, we are looking for someone who wants to learn the trade, build their skills and develop a long-term career with Lawson Air.
