Seeking an Aquatics Manager

We are seeking an experienced and capable leader to oversee the operation of our Aquatic Centre at Plenty Campus.

Located within Ivanhoe Grammar School's contemporary Coonawarra Wilam Aquatics Centre, this role is responsible for leading a diverse aquatic operation that supports school programs, Learn to Swim services, community engagement initiatives and commercial aquatic activities.

As a key member of the team, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Centre, balancing facility management, people leadership and program delivery to create outstanding experiences for students, families and community users.

What You Will Do The Aquatics Manager oversees the operation of the Aquatic Centre, supporting school programs, community engagement and commercial aquatic services.





In This Role You Will

- Lead and develop a team of instructors, lifeguards and aquatic staff.
- Oversee the delivery of Learn to Swim, school-based aquatic programs and community activities.
- Manage aquatic bookings, staffing and resource allocation.
- Oversee facility compliance, water quality, plant operations and risk management requirements.
- Build positive relationships with students, families, staff and community users.
- Drive continuous improvement across programs, systems and service delivery.

Who You Are You're a capable and confident leader who enjoys balancing operational responsibilities with people leadership. You are customer-focused, highly organised and thrive in an environment where no two days are the same. You Have The Necessary Experience, Knowledge And Skills

- Demonstrated experience managing an aquatic centre, swim school, leisure facility or similar operation.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience balancing customer experience, operational requirements and program sustainability.
- Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong operational, planning and problem-solving capability.




- Current Working with Children Check and relevant aquatic industry qualifications.
