About the Opportunity: Virbac Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Livestock Area Sales Manager to join our Commercial Team, covering the South East South Australia territory, specifically focused on the Mount Gambier region. In this role, you'll be the driving force behind achieving your respective territory’s gross sales targets, focusing on building and maintaining solid partnerships with our distribution channels, existing accounts, and influential figures in the livestock industry. What You'll Be Accountable For:

- Sales Leadership: Successfully meet and exceed the annual gross sales target for the SA South East territory.
- Campaign Execution: Implement approved marketing plans and campaigns tailored to the local livestock market to drive sales and maximize profitability.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain effective, enduring business relationships with key livestock accounts, veterinary clinics, rural resellers, and distribution partners across Mount Gambier and the broader SA South East region.
- Brand Ambassadorship:



Provide exceptional communication and service to solidify Virbac’s image as a trusted leader in animal health within the South Australian livestock industry.
- Market Intelligence: Deliver regular, insightful reports detailing business highlights, competitor activity, emerging opportunities, and strategic suggestions for growth.
- Workplace Safety & Standards: Ensure strict compliance with all Work Health, Safety, and Environment policies, taking reasonable care of your safety and the safety of others.

To be Successful in this role, you will have: Required Experience & Education:

- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales-related role, with a strong preference for candidates with Animal Health or Rural Agribusiness experience.
- A verifiable track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Relevant industry or job qualifications. Tertiary qualifications in agriculture, veterinary science, or business are highly desirable.

Job-Related Skills (Know-how):

- Solid understanding of the livestock industry, animal health market, and the unique challenges and opportunities within South East SA and the Mount Gambier region.
- A sound, practical knowledge of professional selling skills and processes.
- Competence in PC skills, including intermediate ability with software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Interpersonal Skills (Behaviour):

- Excellent negotiation abilities, focused on building mutually beneficial relationships and successfully closing deals.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to build rapport across veterinary clinics, rural resellers, and primary producers.
- High level of self-motivation, drive for results, and the ability to work independently across a geographical territory.
- A willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the territory is essential.
