$38–$55 per hour + super | Off-the-floor leadership | Career progression anzuk Education is partnering with a well-established early childhood provider to recruit an Assistant Director for their service near Auburn.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Educator, Room Leader or existing 2IC who is ready to take the next step in their career.

You don’t need extensive management experience. They’re looking for someone dependable, confident with people and ready to develop their leadership skills within a supportive environment.

The chance Working alongside an experienced Centre Director, you’ll be off the floor and involved in the day-to-day operations and leadership of the service.

The centre has a longstanding team, strong occupancy and a positive culture already in place.

Your responsibilities will include

- Supporting the Centre Director with daily operations
- Conducting centre tours and supporting new enrolments
- Assisting families with CCS and general enquiries
- Building strong relationships with children and families
- Supporting and mentoring educators across the service
- Providing guidance and support to teams within the rooms
- Providing leadership coverage when the Centre Director is away
- Supporting the ongoing quality and compliance of the centre

Who they’re looking for This could suit an experienced Assistant Director or 2IC, but equally someone looking to make their first move into management.

You’ll need

- Certificate III, Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Experience working within an early childhood setting
- Confidence communicating with educators and families
- A good understanding of the EYLF and National Quality Standards
- A collaborative and approachable leadership style
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current Child Protection, First Aid and CPR
- A solid understanding of child safety and safeguarding responsibilities

Previous Room Leader or 2IC experience is advantageous but isn’t essential.



An experienced Senior Educator with the right attitude and leadership potential will be considered.

Hours and flexibility

This is a full-time, five-day position.

As the Assistant Director provides important operational coverage across the service, you’ll need to be comfortable working a rotating roster.
