About the role The Rebelo Group is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic hospitality team in Brisbane. This is a full-time position based in Brisbane QLD 4000, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant and delivering exceptional service to our guests.

As Assistant Restaurant

Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and maintaining the high standards of service and quality that define The Rebelo Group.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting in the day-to-day management of restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Supervising and training restaurant staff to ensure consistent delivery of excellent customer service
- Managing reservations, seating arrangements and dining room flow to optimise guest experience
- Monitoring food and beverage quality, presentation and compliance with health and safety standards
- Handling customer inquiries, complaints and concerns with professionalism and efficiency
- Supporting inventory management, stock control and ordering of restaurant supplies
- Assisting with scheduling staff rotas and ensuring adequate coverage during service periods
- Contributing to the recruitment and onboarding of new team members
- Maintaining compliance with all health, safety and licensing regulations
- Supporting the Restaurant Manager with special events, promotions and operational improvements

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or similar supervisory role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Solid knowledge of restaurant operations, including food service, beverage management and customer service best practices




- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of health, safety and food hygiene regulations relevant to the hospitality industry
- Experience with restaurant management systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced environments
- A passion for delivering exceptional hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
