The most suitable applicant will demonstrate their applied knowledge, skills and experiences against these essential role requirements of the Team leader leadership stream:

- Experience and demonstrated skill leading and managing a team including the application of human resource management processes
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, respond to new and unexpected events and appropriately escal
- Experience in the criminal justice environment including the interpretation and application of legislation, policy and practice directives in an operational workplace is preferable or alternatively possess a similar work experience that demonstrates your ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge
- Ability to manage governance and oversight systems, and experience in quality assurance
- Ability to build and manage relationships with peers, team members, internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to promote and maintain a learning environment where staff development is valued and supported and seen as an integral feature of the work environment
