Already completing your Light Vehicle Mechanic apprenticeship and looking for a new workshop to continue your training? Apprenticeships Are Us is currently recruiting 2nd, 3rd and 4th Year Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentices to join a small, established independent automotive workshop in Heathcote, NSW.
This is a great opportunity for an existing apprentice looking for a change of environment, broader hands-on experience or a supportive workshop where they can continue developing their skills.
You'll continue working towards your AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology while gaining practical experience across a variety of vehicles, servicing, repairs and diagnostics.

What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will depend on your apprenticeship year, current skills and experience, and may include:
- Vehicle servicing and scheduled maintenance.
- Mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis.
- Using diagnostic equipment and workshop technology.
- Brake, steering and suspension repairs.
- Engine and mechanical component repairs.
- Removing and replacing worn or damaged components.
- Vehicle inspections, testing and safety checks.
- Working across a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Reading and following manufacturer specifications and repair procedures.
- Safe and correct use of hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment.
- Maintaining professional workshop and safety standards.
As you progress through your apprenticeship, you'll continue taking on more complex repairs and greater responsibility under the guidance of qualified technicians.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for an apprentice who has already commenced their Light Vehicle Mechanical apprenticeship and is motivated to continue building their automotive career.
You'll ideally have
- Current enrolment in a Light Vehicle Mechanic apprenticeship as a 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice.
- Previous hands-on automotive workshop experience.
- A genuine passion for cars and the automotive industry.
- A hands-on and mechanically minded approach.
- A strong work ethic and willingness to continue learning.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Good attention to detail.
- The ability to listen, take direction and apply feedback.
- The ability to work effectively within a small workshop team.
- A current driver's licence (P1 or above preferred).
- Reliable transport to Heathcote, NSW.
Looking for a New Workshop?
If you've already started your apprenticeship but are looking for a change, this is an opportunity to continue your training in a small independent workshop setting. Your previous apprenticeship training and experience can be recognised, allowing you to continue progressing towards your AUR30620 qualification without starting your apprenticeship again.
Whether you're a 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice, you'll have the opportunity to continue developing your practical skills and gain valuable experience across a range of vehicles and automotive work.
Eligibility
Applicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents to be eligible for this apprenticeship opportunity.
