Platinum Pacific Partners has been engaged by a leading Australian alternative asset manager to lead a search for an Associate within its Product team, sitting within the firm's broader Distribution & Investor Relations function.
We are looking to bolster the quantitative and analytical output of the Product team. You will take on fund reporting, product collateral and investor responses, and get involved in data analysis, research and process improvement across the product lifecycle, working closely with stakeholders both inside the business and with external service providers.
We are looking for candidates who can build something meaningful in Excel, pull together written research, shape a product proposal and hold their own presenting it to stakeholders across the business. An analytical mindset is welcomed, along with comfort using modern analytical tools, but what matters most is whether your work holds up under scrutiny rather than simply presenting well. It's a varied role in an entrepreneurial, quick-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Internal and external fund reporting and analysis
- Preparing and synthesising fund product collateral and investor responses
- Product and investor data analysis,
research and insight generation
- Identifying and implementing improvements to product processes, systems and workflows
- Managing internal and external stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
- Maintaining accuracy and consistency across product outputs and documentation
Ideal Candidate
- Around three to five years' experience in a product, funds management, banking or private markets environment, with a relevant degree
- Genuine hands-on capability in Excel and data, producing analysis and outputs
- Comfortable conducting written research and building product proposals with limited oversight
- An interest in process improvement and automation, without needing to be a specialist quant
- Confidence engaging with multiple stakeholders and seeing a process through to delivery
- Collegial and easy to work with, in a flat, entrepreneurial team where decisions are made directly rather than by committee
