The role: Are you a commercially minded leader with a passion for travel, people, and building high-performing teams? We are looking for an exceptional Managing Director to lead our Australian branch, driving commercial performance, customer outcomes, and employee engagement while representing Inside Travel Group in the local market.

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will take ownership of branch performance across sales, profitability, customer experience, trade partnerships, marketing alignment, and people leadership. This is a highly visible senior leadership role where you will shape local strategy, influence global decision-making, and ensure our Australian branch delivers against ambitious growth plans while staying true to our values and culture.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead the overall commercial performance of the Australian branch, including sales, profitability, customer outcomes, productivity and growth.
- Develop and deliver the branch annual plan, budget and strategic priorities.
- Lead and coach the local leadership team, fostering a positive, high-performing and values-led culture.
- Hold local leaders accountable for delivering branch objectives and performance targets.
- Work closely with Sales, Trade Partnerships, Marketing and Product teams to maximise commercial opportunities.
- Provide market insight, customer feedback and competitive intelligence to inform global strategy.
- Ensure effective workforce planning, recruitment,



succession planning and performance management.
- Act as the senior escalation point for significant customer, operational or reputational issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key trade partners, professional advisers and local stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, health and safety and business obligations.
- Represent Inside Travel Group within the Australian travel industry and wider business community.
- Contribute as a key member of the global commercial leadership team, helping shape the future direction of the business.

- Proven senior leadership experience within a commercial, customer-focused business.
- Strong track record of delivering revenue growth, profitability and commercial performance.
- Experience leading managers and developing high-performing teams.
- Ability to use data and insight to identify opportunities, solve problems and drive results.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience influencing and collaborating across multiple functions and countries.
- Solid decision-making, prioritisation and change leadership capability.
- Demonstrated ability to build an engaged,



accountable and values-led culture.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasts and business performance.
- A collaborative leadership style with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Desirable experience:
- Senior leadership experience within the travel industry.
- Experience managing branch, region or country-level P&L; performance.
- Knowledge of trade partnerships, B2B sales channels or travel distribution.
- Experience working within an international organisation.
- Knowledge of, or passion for, ITG destinations and travel experiences.
