AWR Care Services Pty Ltd is an established provider of NDIS and aged-care services in South Australia. We are seeking two dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Officers to join our team and provide high-quality care, support and assistance to people requiring residential and community-based support.

About the Role

As a Residential Care Officer, you will provide direct care and support to clients, assisting them to maintain their wellbeing, independence, dignity and quality of life.

The successful applicants will be responsible for providing person-centred support to clients with disability, aged-care and other support needs.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Providing personal care and day-to-day support to clients in accordance with their individual needs and care plans.
- Assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, mobility and meal preparation.
- Supporting clients to maintain independence and participate in community activities.
- Providing assistance with household and domestic activities where required.
- Monitoring clients' wellbeing and reporting changes in their physical, emotional or behavioural condition.
- Implementing individual support and care plans.
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assisting clients with appointments, activities and community participation.
- Supporting clients with disability and/or aged-care needs in a respectful and culturally appropriate manner.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation relating to client care and support.
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, carers and other relevant service providers.
- Following workplace health and safety, infection control,



privacy and organisational policies and procedures.
- Working collaboratively with other care and support staff.
- Performing other duties reasonably associated with the position.

Essential Requirements The successful applicants will demonstrate:
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in aged care, disability support, community services, nursing or a related field.
- Previous experience providing care or support to people with disability, elderly persons or people with complex support needs.
- A genuine commitment to providing person-centred care.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain qualified boundaries and client confidentiality.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety and safe work practices.
- Ability to maintain accurate client records and documentation.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Appropriate screening/checks required for working in the aged-care and disability sector.

Desirable
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Ageing Support, Community Services, Nursing or a related discipline.
- Experience working in an NDIS or aged-care environment.
- Experience supporting clients with complex or high support needs.
- Knowledge of person-centred care and support planning.
