Location : Melbourne The role:

This is a substantive role covering a broad mix of corporate finance, property and construction finance, asset finance, fund work, receivables financing, and PPSA advisory work. You will handle both domestic and cross-border matters, advising financial institutions and corporate borrowers on complex transactions with real commercial weight.

Expect exposure to a diverse range of responsibilities , including seeing you:

- Draft, review, and negotiate transactional finance documents across a range of deal structures;
- Advise financial institutions and corporate borrowers on complex financing arrangements;
- Handle PPSA registrations, searches, and advisory matters;
- Collaborate with Insolvency, Property, and Corporate teams on integrated transactions;
- Manage cross-border and domestic finance matters from instruction through to settlement;
- Support senior practitioners on high-value, time-sensitive transactions; and
- Provide pragmatic,



commercially grounded advice to clients

You’ll gain hands-on experience working alongside a senior partner with over 35 years’ experience leading intricate finance and commercial matters—someone known for their deep technical expertise, practical advice, and mentoring approach. Open to practitioners admitted in any Australian state or New Zealand (willing to be located in Melbourne).

About you:

You’re a Lawyer (1–3 years’ PQE) with solid grounding in banking & finance , or commercial law.

You’re commercially astute, solution-oriented, and comfortable managing your own matters while collaborating with others. You value precision, client trust, and meaningful professional growth & development.
