About the role

McGuire Hotels is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Bar and Gaming Staff to join the team at Tugun Tavern in Tugun, QLD 4224. This is a casual position offering flexible working arrangements to suit your lifestyle. As Bar and Gaming Staff, you will be at the heart of our hospitality operations, delivering exceptional service to our guests whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer care.

This role is essential to creating a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere that keeps our patrons returning.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with accuracy and flair
- Operating gaming machines responsibly and in accordance with all relevant legislation and venue policies
- Providing friendly and attentive customer service to all patrons
- Taking orders efficiently and processing payments using point-of-sale systems
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, gaming floor and surrounding spaces
- Checking customer identification to ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws
- Stocking and rotating inventory, reporting low stock levels to management
- Responding to customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally and courteously
- Contributing to a safe and responsible drinking environment
- Supporting colleagues during peak service periods to ensure smooth operations

What we're looking for

- Previous experience working in a bar, pub or hospitality venue is highly desirable
- Knowledge of responsible service of alcohol and gaming machine regulations
- Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and cash handling
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 20kg




- Reliability and punctuality with a adaptable approach to shift work, including evenings and weekends
- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification or willingness to obtain it
- Current RSG (Responsible Service of Gaming) certification or willingness to obtain it
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced team members
