About the role

Gillcraft Welding is seeking a skilled Boilermaker / Fabricator / Welder to join our team in Arundel, Queensland. This is a casual role where you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling a variety of metal components and structures. Opportunity to progress to a permanent position after a qualifying period.

What you'll be doing

1. Operate welding equipment to join metal components according to specifications
2. Demonstrate proficiency in MIG and TIG welding processes
3. Perform metal fabrication tasks such as cutting, bending, and assembling metal parts
4. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication
5. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
6. Contribute to a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and protocols

What we're looking for

1. Formal qualifications in boilermaking, fabrication, or welding
2. Demonstrated experience as a boilermaker, fabricator, or welder, preferably in a workshop or manufacturing environment
3. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a boilermaker,



fabricator, or welder
4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
5. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
6. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
7. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
8. Forklift ticket is an advantage.
