Bottling Attendant - 2 positions
About the role
2 x full-time opportunities exist for a Bottling Attendant, ideally with experience in up-to-date filling, labelling and packing equipment, based at our Yalumba winery in Angaston.
Under the direction of the Bottling Line Managers, this role will ensure quality wine bottling through the efficient operation of modern filling, label application and packing equipment to ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant safety, quality, environmental and operational procedures.
Key accountabilities
- Maximize the quality application of labels and the filling of wine while maintaining efficiency targets and keep machine changeovers to the designated time.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and take appropriate action to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency
- Work in consultation with the Bottling Line Manager on shift regarding operating equipment following bottling procedures as trained.
- Report to the Bottling Line Manager on operational progress and raise any issues or observations.
- Assist in opportunities for continuous improvement through communicating ideas, observations, or participating in focus groups.
- Troubleshoot technical equipment issues before escalating to maintenance personnel to support efficient line recovery.
- Ensure after all operations the correct procedures are followed for job completion and all specifications for the operation have been met.
About you Previous experience in operating advanced filling, modern labelling and packing equipment including those with quality vision systems is preferred. A Certificate 2 in Wine Industry Operations is desirable with a high level of attention to detail and basic mathematics, computer and data entry skills.
The ability to work safely and collaboratively within a team environment with the flexibility to work hours across the full week. The expected shift pattern is likely to alternate weekly between day and afternoon shifts. You will be an effective communicator with demonstrated relationship-building abilities.
Prior to commencement satisfactory completion of a pre-employment medical testing will be required.
