About the role

We are seeking a Branch Assistant to join our team at our Myaree branch in Perth, Western Australia. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic retail environment within the building and plumbing supplies sector. As a Branch Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service whilst supporting the smooth operation of our branch.

Your contribution will directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall success of the branch, making this a strategically significant position within our team.

What you'll be doing

- Providing excellent customer service to trade and retail customers, assisting with product selection and answering enquiries about building and plumbing supplies
- Processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe branch environment, including stock displays and warehouse areas
- Receiving, unpacking and shelving stock items in line with branch procedures and safety standards
- Conducting stock counts and assisting with inventory management as required
- Supporting branch staff with general administrative tasks and day-to-day operations
- Delivering products to trade/retail customers on site. Stock Collection from suppliers.
- Maintaining awareness of current product lines, promotions and pricing to provide informed assistance to customers




- Contributing to a positive team atmosphere and supporting colleagues in delivering excellent service

What we're looking for

- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment, preferably within the building supplies, hardware or trade sector
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Reliable and punctual with a demonstrated commitment to maintaining professional standards
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from management
- Physical capability to handle merchandise, including lifting and moving stock items of varying weights
- Basic numeracy skills and competence with point-of-sale systems and general computer use
- A willingness to learn about products and services to enhance your knowledge and customer interactions
- Health and safety awareness with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
- Flexibility to work as required, which may include Saturday mornings depending on branch scheduling
