About the role

Business Development Manager driving new business growth across the FMCG, food and beverage, manufacturing, and Industrial Automation sectors, targeting new clients and expanding the company's customer base while developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

Key responsibilities

- Drive current business growth across the FMCG, food and beverage, manufacturing, Industrial Automation Sectors targeting new clients and expanding the company's customer base

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing food and beverage manufacturing clients, identifying opportunities to increase service coverage

- Identify and secure recurring shift coverage opportunities, including planned maintenance, breakdown support, electrical and mechanical trades, and ongoing site-based labour requirements

- Develop a strong pipeline of projects, including electrical, mechanical, automation, maintenance, upgrades, shutdowns, installations, and equipment improvement projects





- Proactively identify client needs and upcoming projects through regular site visits, client meetings, operational discussions and relationship management

- Generate new leads and opportunities through networking, industry relationships, referrals, cold outreach, tenders and targeted business development activities

- Prepare and submit proposals, quotations and tenders, working closely with operations and technical teams to develop competitive and commercially viable solutions

- Convert opportunities into profitable work, with a focus on sustainable revenue, appropriate margins and long-term client relationships

- Build relationships with key decision-makers, including Maintenance Managers, Engineering Managers, Operations Managers, Procurement teams and Site Managers

- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast, tracking leads, opportunities, proposals, conversions and upcoming work
