Club Helensvale is a thriving community club, providing high-quality dining, entertainment, sporting and function facilities, for our members, guests and visitors.

Careful, this role is different!

We are looking to fill a unique position in our Event’s Department, with a broad criterion. Whilst the focus will be on sourcing business, other areas include - building client relations, room shows, actioning enquiries, administration, and making sure that our functions are seamless!

This position is fulltime salary and is very hands on. Rolling up the sleeves and helping to set an event could be in the . The candidate will need to work a variety of shifts and will suit someone that likes a quick pace, has multi skill talents, a flair for creative ideas and is a strong “people person”.

Your day-to-day

· Source function and event business

· Liaise with clients and put together function proposals

· Conduct room shows to potential clients

· Oversee aspects of event set up and service

· Increasing sales opportunities through new ideas and promotions

· Respond to function enquiries in a prompt, professional manner





· Liaise with Operations Manager to coordinate events needs as required

· Communicate with Executive Chef regarding food service requirements

· Offer a high standard of customer service to match the high standard of our reputation

· Work with Function’s Supervisor and Function Attendants

· Oversee event operations to ensure staff are performing their jobs to Club standards.

· Respond to customer feedback in accordance with Club guidelines.

· Support Functions Manager with administration duties when required

· Assist with room set ups and break downs (including moving furniture)

Additional requirements

· A current RSA

· Function and Events understanding

· Full shift availability, including weekends

· A sound understanding of online booking systems

· Administrative skills (invoicing, spreadsheet, emails)

· Manual handling capabilities
